Tropical Medical Training (TMT) is the most advanced general practice training and education provider in northern Australia.
TMT covers all of northern and western Queensland and offers tremendous and diverse rural, tropical and indigenous training opportunities as well as high quality hospitals and practices in urban cities. The variety allows registrars to learn about General Practice to a depth and breadth often unattainable in other programs.
Tropical Medical Training boasts a truly integrated training and education experience which engages and caters for undergraduates, hospital interns, General Practice registrars and local General Practitioners.
At present TMT offers 4 general practice training programs:
- GP Training for Registrars
- GP Training for Interns – Prevocational General Practice Placements Program (PGPPP)
- GP Training for Post Grad Yr 2s – Prevocational General Practice Placements Program (PGPPP)
- GP Training for Overseas Trained Doctors – Rural Outreach Vocation Education for Overseas Trained Doctors (ROVE)
