All supervisors in the PGPPP are accredited teachers – many also teach Registrars and mentor medical students. Many of the supervisors are experiences, procedural doctors with a long record of service to rural and remote communities.
Yes, you will be training in a practice that is accredited by ACRRM, RACGP or both. Intern training practices are also accredited by the Postgraduate Council in each state.
You continue to be employed by the hospital and therefore your wages, terms and conditions and industrial entitlements are seamlessly continued.
The placement gains recognition as a hospital term and as a part of the ACRRM Training pathway for our registrars.
Participants are housed in high quality accommodation which is routinely visited and evaluated. Online facilities are also provided to ensure good study and family contact capacity.
Your travel to and from the placement is covered by the best convenient means.
Yes – the program now has an option for visits from partner and children on a case by case approval.
